    Genre: Psych is a TV show generally associated with the crime genre. It does contain plenty of hybridity with comedy as well. The show does a stunning job of combining the two. Every episode is filled with a new mystery and the two main characters Gus and Shawn goofing off with every chance they get while still solving the main case. This can attract both kinds of people, the ones who love suspense and those who love to have a good laugh.

    Narrative: Psych's plot is a crime show with a new case every day, in which the plot can vary as well. However, within the episodes, you can see the characters bond and see their own struggles. Like when Shawn became closer with his dad after they slowly see each other for who they are and not the roles they play. A message that you can see commonly see is that not everything is what it seems, and that people can change even if they seem stuck. The episodes themselves are structured by having a new murder every episode and new side characters along with them. The said murder will lead the characters to go and solve the case and discover things they were not expecting.

    Character: Using Propp's theory you can deduce that the "heroes" are Shawn and Gus. Then the side characters, the "donor" is Henry Spencer, the "helpers" are Lassiter, Juliet, and Woody, the "dispatcher" is Chief Karen. While the "villain" and "false hero" changes constantly with each episode. Obviously not all of the characters perfectly fit the mold. Lassiter and Juliet are their own pair that aren't exactly with Shawn and Gus, just providing basic information, and that there is not always a false hero in every episode. The characters don't particularly represent a change in society but can represent a change in a person. You can see Shawn mature, Lassiter become softer, and Gus find satisfaction with going where the wind may take him. These things are commonly dealt with by people in real life that others can find relatable.

    In the end, Psych is an amazing show with random surprises and funny relationships among the characters. The adventures they have vary and are consistent. I would definitely recommend!

Fantasy Genre Mood Borad!      In the fantasy genre a common element we see constantly is an autumn color scheme. We can see the color scheme in use by the pictures inserted in the mood board above. Some common color trends are forest greens, deep oranges, and grays/blacks. This sets a mystical feel in the genre. This is a classic in the fantasy field.       Another feature in the fantasy genre is magic and magical creatures. Pictures of dragons are shown, which are a storybook classic, they are a pinnacle in castle-set books and films. Usually, these creatures are seen as monsters and are slain by a knight in shining armor. Magic is also used in many films. Movie Opener Brainstorm and Research

 Movie Opening 1: RISE      This movie opening about a kid seemingly practicing for a soccer match and proceeds to stare down the seemingly opponent. Natural lighting is use throughout the film. Various close ups are used to show the importance of the objects and movements. One key close up seems to be of the main character and his opponent. This seems to be a classic "who will win?" scene.     The most influential part of this film that had on my group project was the lighting. I like the natural lighting coming from the sun outside. I plan on having most of my film outdoors for the bright and joyful light that the sun provides.
